NEW HARRY POTTER WANDS

Harry Potter wands are really popular here on Magic Alley, and after hearing which other character’s wands you’d most like to see stocked, we’ve added Bellatrix Lestrange, Luna Lovegood, and Queenie Goldstein’s wands to our product range!

All of our wands are officially licensed and produced by the Noble Collection. This means they’re identical to the ones sold at the Harry Potter Warner Brothers London Studio Tour and the Harry Potter Wizarding World in Orlando!

Bellatrix Lestrange’s Wand

Presented in a collector’s box, Bellatrix’s wand follows the theme of other dark witches and wizards such as Draco and Snape with a wand that is dark and immaculate.

While this replica is made of high quality resin, within the Harry Potter universe Bellatrix’s wand is made from a walnut tree, a type of wood that is heavily linked to old superstitious beliefs in Europe, such as one in Italy that walnut trees were secretly a meeting place for witches to practice magic. Other legends suggested that walnut trees contained poisonous and evil tendencies, and that people should avoid going near them, or not grow any food within close proximity of a walnut tree.

Luna Lovegood’s Wand

Also presented in a collector’s box (just like Bellatrix’s) but not displayed in the picture above, Luna Lovegood’s wand is also sleek but a lighter and more vibrant colour with an intricately designed handle.

As you’ll probably remember, Luna has two wands throughout the story, with her first wand being taken from her while she is held prisoner in Malfoy Manor.  This is her second wand, which is made especially for her by Ollivander after they escape, and is one of very few examples where a wand is made for a wizard or witch, rather than a witch or wizard choosing a wand.

Queenie Goldstein’s Wand

Queenie’s wand is our second from Fantastic Beasts, and is presented beautifully in Ollivander’s box. Alison Sudol, who portrayed Queenie in Fantastic Beasts, had a strong influence on the design of Queenie’s wand which was later created by the props team.

The result is a wand that reflects her character – one that is sleek, based on art deco, and attractive to look at. The handle of the wand includes a mother pearl shaped into the shape of a snail, and means that the handle sharply contrasts the rest of the wand. Queenie’s wand is said to contain a cat’s hair, which is no surprise knowing her character!
